The Bench Bike Shop opened in June of 2018 with a friendly local staff whose goal is to help everyone have a good day on a bike. Whether you’re renting a bike and riding for the first time, in for repairs, or drooling over a new bike hanging on our wall, we want to keep you riding!

Walk ins are welcome at our repair shop, and we’ll try to get you out the door as soon as possible.

We stock as many parts, tires and tubes as we can without actually exploding onto the street or into the alley. If we don’t have a part we’ll gladly try to get it for you.

About the Shop

The Bench Bike Shop is an Independent, Locally Owned and Operated, Retail, Rental and Repair bike shop in beautiful downtown Jasper Alberta in Jasper National Park. We are proud to be an Authorized Kona Dealer because Kona Bikes are fun! We're also an Authorized Bombtrack Bikes dealer because Bombtrack Bikes are just cool and ready for the Zombie Apocalypse (Bombtrack Beyond+ ADV).

We rent Kona hardtail mountain bikes and comfort bikes in the summer and Kona Fat Bikes in the winter. We’ll set you up with a map and give you a route that matches your needs and you’ll start riding right from the shop.

It feels so good to introduce people renting bikes to the local trails and then hear the stories of the wildlife they may have seen, how clear the lakes are and how beautiful the scenery is when they bring the bikes back wearing a big smile. You keep us appreciating all that Jasper has to offer every day. Thanks for that!

Although some would say our repair shop is small (we prefer to say spatially efficient), we try to keep enough parts and tires on hand to help you keep rolling on the road or flying down the trails. We work on all bikes, new, old, mountain, road, touring and anything weird!

We love to meet and help out people on cycling adventures from around the world or just down the street. Whether it’s tuning up a custom folding touring bike that could decouple from a quad into tandem (whew!), helping out touring Fat Bikers from Germany, a couple of intrepid women starting their trip south to Mexico on the Great Divide Trail, or remounting a tubeless setup and truing a wheel after somehow blowing the tire off the rim descending Razorback…we just want to keep you pedalling.
